Understanding Non-Duality
Non-duality simply means “not two.” It points to the understanding that the awareness through which you know your thoughts, feelings and perceptions is not separate from life itself. Ordinarily we feel like a person looking out at a world from behind the mind and body. The teaching of non-duality invites us to question that assumption and to look more closely at the nature of the one who is aware of experience.
When this inquiry deepens, it becomes clear that awareness is not confined to a separate self. It is the open, knowing presence in which all experience appears — thoughts, sensations, the body and the world alike. In this way non-duality is not a belief or philosophy but a direct recognition about the nature of experience itself.

Understanding Non-Duality With ‘The Breath Analogy’
Consider the breath. With every inhalation and exhalation, the air moves in and out, yet the space through which it moves remains open and unchanged.
In a similar way, thoughts, sensations and perceptions move through our experience like the breath moves through space. They arise, change and fade, yet the awareness in which they appear remains quietly present throughout.
Non-duality invites us to notice this ever-present awareness — not as something distant or mystical, but as the simple knowing that is here before, during and after every experience.
It is not about gaining powers or special states.
It is not about endless spiritual techniques.
It is not about fixing yourself.
It is not about adopting a new belief.
